NEET cutoff 2025 will be released once the result of the exam is released. The total marks in NEET is 720 and last year 44 students had scored 720 out of 720 and this is one of the reasons why the cutoff for the top medical colleges goes so high. NEET cutoff 2025 will be released for different categories separately. NEET general category cutoff 2025 is expected to range between 720 to 162. The cutoff of NEET is of two types – qualifying and the admission cutoff. The Medical Council Committee (MCC) is responsible to release the NEET UG Cutoff 2025 for All India Quota seats (AIQ) while the respective state authorities are responsible to release the cutoff for State Quota. What is NEET Cutoff 2025?

NEET cutoff 2025 is the minimum qualifying marks that an aspirant must obtain in order to take admission to the top medical colleges through this exam. NEET cutoff is released based on the rank that is allotted based on the marks obtained by the candidates in NEET.

Types of NEET Cutoff

The NEET cutoff 2025 has been classified into two broad categories:

1. Qualifying Cutoff of NEET

  • This is the minimum percentile required to be eligible for NEET 2025 counselling.
  • This cutoff is released by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
  • This cutoff is released for for different categories and generally here is the qualifying cutoff for NEET 2025
    • General: 50th percentile
    • OBC/SC/ST: 40th percentile
    • PwD: 45th percentile

2. NEET Admission Cutoff

  • This cutoff is the minimum score in NEET that is required to secure a seat in medical colleges.
  • This cutoff is released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and respective state authorities responsible for the state level counselling.
  • This cutoff is different for All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota admissions.
